About the Chef

Switching from an English Education major at Indiana University to the Chicago culinary scene in 2009, Andrew Holladay has worked for Jason Hammel at Lula Café for over 10 years. He worked as a line cook and took over as sous chef at Lula in 2012. In 2016, Holladay ventured out on his own and opened Rua, a small locally-sourced restaurant in his hometown of Warsaw, IN. He returned to Lula Café and took over as CDC and received a 2018 Jean Banchet nomination for best chef-de-cuisine. Andrew is currently focused on developing a sustainable kitchen culture at Lula that is both collaborative and community-oriented.
